The most heavy duty hard case for any equipment; ultimate protection; and point for comparison of all other similar products. I use 10 Pelican cases of different sizes, and do not see any reason to reconsider the brand. At the same time, keep in mind that latches are very tight, may require some slight adjustment (with file or sand paper). And initially they are very loud (will be better after some use), i.e. locking the case can attract attention at the airport, etc.; as well as can be quite intrusive when working in the field observing wildlife, and so on. If you prefer more comfortable latches (with release buttons), consider a new line of Pelican/Storm cases (they are lighter and a little less rigid/tough). Nothing gives you peace of mind under any circumstances as a Pelican case; it can survive more than any of us... )). Highly recommended.

What can I say; it's a Pelican. It's going to be extremely high quality. It will protect whatever you put inside it from virtually anything. I've purchased half a dozen Pelicans and I've never had even an inkling of worry that the gear inside would be in danger of damage. I've traveled all over the world with my Pelicans and they just hold up and work. It's just expected. I don't even know why you're reading this. Just buy it already. It's not like you're going to regret it. Why are you questioning yourself? Do you have self esteem issues or something? May I suggest counselling after you buy this? It might help and you'd be able to talk about your indecision issue with a trained professional. Just for transparency, I'm not a trained professional. I just really like Pelican cases.

Perfect size for a PS4, controller, cables, and 2 games. I fly with this case fairly frequently with a PS4 inside and I still haven't seen any signs of damage.

Can't go wrong with a Pelican case. You get what you pay for.

Loved this case! It worked perfectly and did the job. Pelican makes a very good product. Shipping was awesome and fast.

You cant find a better way to protect whatever you need to protect. My only gripe is that it comes with the pick n pluck foam only. I didn't have the patience to cut it out properly but a friend did and he did a fantastic job. It holds three high quality pistols and does have some room to spare. With about ten grand of pistols in it I feel very confidant that they will look exactly the same when I take them out as when I put them in. (I almost gave it four stars because of the pick n pluck foam but it just wouldn't be fair to such a superior product that performs like no other cases on the planet)

I finally found a Pelican case that was perfectly sized for my AR-15 pistol. It just so happened that the "desert tan" was the same price as the black case, and that would match my pistol. It took me a while to decide if I wanted the tan or the black, but why not have them match - if it doesn't cost any more money. My pistol has a standard buffer tube for pistols, and the barrel is a free-floating 7.5 inch flat top. I have flip down Magpul sights on it, and it's a good thing because a Red Dot scope would not have fit. I also have a small Streamlight flashlight on the bottom as you can see in my pictures. The depth of the case allowed for me to pull out the foam and then reinsert half the height of the foam, before putting my pistol in the case. This allowed for me to put my magazines in the bottom of the case, still protected by about an inch of foam. On the top of my two magazines I simply lay a loose piece of foam on them and then insert the pistol parts. This way, I can fit everything I need without making the foam sections too thin in the middle. I've had many other Pelican cases in the past and this one seems slightly better built because of the new clasp system and the metal protectors for padlocks. I already know that Pelican cases are extremely durable and waterproof because I had one bolted onto the luggage rack of my motorcycle for about four years, and I never had anything inside of it get wet.

When I found myself in need of a carrying case, I very carefully considered many options and brands. Of course, a short amount of research and past personal experiences with such cases eventually led me to the pelican case brand. That decision made, I was then left with the task of choosing the proper model for my needs. After much time and effort, I found myself drawn to the 1520 case, and with only minor reservations I pressed buy. Two short days later I arrived home and saw that a package had been delivered to my home. With great anticipation, I opened the box and found within it the pelican 1520 case with foam. I quickly rounded up the items to be placed within and was pleasantly surprised to find that the items would all fit. Careful cutting and plucking of the foam resulting in well nested items secure within the confines of the case. At this point I then began to explore the other features of this case. I found that the handle was very securely attached to the case and was well designed and balanced such that you could easily carry the case with 1 hand. The presence of not 1 but 2 metal lock loops that easily accepted standard master lock padlocks assured that the contents of the case would be secure from prying eyes. The shell of the case is obviously quite strong and appears capable of surviving a fall from great heights and at high speed, though I have not tested this. The latches provide positive confirmation that they have closed, though those with weak fingers may have a hard time manipulating them. Overall I cannot think of anything that I would change to improve this case. In all seriousness, you get what you pay for when it comes to cases and pelican cases are well worth the money for protecting whatever you Need to put in them.

This case is perfect for my Nikon D750 with battery grip, 70-200 2.8, 24-70 2.8 (on body), 85 1.4, 17-35 2.8 and 50 1.4 lenses. They all fit in snug and even have room for a battery charger. Pelican, cant go wrong with it! I got it during the holiday season when it was discounted some.....wish they were cheaper, as I would probably own more Pelican cases.

These cases are everything you need if you are looking for a heavy duty carrying case. I've used different Pelican Cases for years and have no real complaints. This unit comes with the 'Pick N Pluck' foam which makes it very easy to custom fit just about any size and shape item. Although it works great to protect most items, keep in mind that it will not work very well for extremely heavy items which will have a tendency to compress the foam and move around. For those, considered purchasing a harder foam from various vendors that offer pre-cut solutions. Pelican warranty has been great and I've used them a couple of times to replace parts that got damaged during shipping (handles). This case comes with 3 layers of foam; a corrugated layer in the lid, a thick 'Pick N Pluck' layer in the middle and a thin layer bellow that. If you have small items you'll be storing, consider keeping the pieces you remove and cutting them down to change the height. Replacement foam is also available if you decide to change the configuration of your case: Pelican 1521 Replacement 3 Pc Pick 'N' Pluck Foam Set for the 1520 Case It is available in various colors and with the following optional accessories: Pelican 1525 Padded Divider Set for the 1520 Case, Single Layer (Black)
